Galvanized steel pipe/tube is an alloy of iron and carbon. It is rolled into a tube - usually round, square or rectangular - and then coated with zinc. Steel pipes are usually galvanized in one of two ways. It can be hot-dip galvanized, a thick protective coating can be formed by molten zinc, or a thinner layer of zinc can be attached to the steel by electroplating through the current zinc solution.Galvanizing can increase the corrosion resistance of the steel pipe and prolong the service life.
